Real estate: the bottom of the hryvnia is already behind!
Despite the continuing impoverishment of the average Ukrainian and the lack of money for people - four months in a row the prices for residential real estate in the primary market in Kiev and the surrounding settlements continue to go up. Most likely this is a reaction to the decline of the hryvnia against the US dollar and the declaring by the builders of the price below which they do not agree to build.
Thus, the current housing prices, compared with October this year, rose by 0.8% and developers say that this is not going to stop and buy an apartment in Kiev in 2018 will cost an ordinary citizen in the hryvnia resource is more expensive than in the outgoing 2017. Apparently the coming 2018 year will demonstrate that the bottom is already behind the hryvnia.
The NBU believes that because of the abundance of new residential buildings, which are being intensively built within Kiev and the whole metropolitan region and as a result of the excess supply formed, a collapse of the real estate market may occur.
But the builders decided not to allow this event and began to raise prices for apartments in Kiev. This action will help to balance the balance of supply and demand, and at the same time motivates the buyer to buy real estate.
